The next three months could prove quite interesting and quite revealing for the American public, particularly those who have been anxiously awaiting some fruitful results from the Benghazi Select Committee chaired by Rep Trey Gowdy (R-SC).
Chairman Gowdy announced on Friday a witness list which included nearly two dozen senior Obama officials, including Hillary Clinton, who is expected to testify within the next thirty days.
Also scheduled to appear are former White House press secretary Jay Carney, Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman General Martin Dempsey, former national security adviser Tom Donilon, present national security advisor Susan Rice, former Clinton deputy chief of staff Jake Sullivan, deputy national security advisor Ben Rhodes, former CIA director David Petraeus, former Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta and current White House chief of staff Denis McDonough.
Gowdy said on Friday, “I am announcing an ambitious timeline for interviews consistent with my plan to speed-up the pace of the investigation. I intend to stay with this schedule and will issue subpoenas if necessary.”
State Department whistleblower Mark Thompson, former Assistant Secretary of State Andrew Shapiro, Former U.S. Ambassador Thomas Pickering, and the former Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, Matt Olsen are also on the list. Other names include retired Admiral Mike Mullen, former deputy and acting director of the CIA Mike Morell, Hillary Clinton Chief of Staff Cheryl Mills, State Department official Charlene Lamb, State Department Undersecretary of State for Management Patrick Kennedy, former White House National Security Council staff member Benjamin Fishman and former Foreign Service officer William Burns.
In a letter sent to ranking member Rep Elijah Cummings (D-MD), Gowdy stated that it is his intention to interview Clinton “as soon as possible.”
While the witnesses are expected to appear voluntarily, Rep Gowdy did state his intention to compel witnesses who fail to voluntarily comply with his requests. He added, “All told, over the next three months, the committee will gain access to information not fully considered by any committee of Congress to date from the nearly three dozen witnesses identified.”
While Democrats have claimed that there is nothing more to learn and labeled the investigation a “witch hunt,” clearly there will be much that has not previously been known garnered from more exhaustive and thorough questioning of both new and former witnesses. The truth may yet come out, in spite of the regime’s best efforts at suppression.

I admire Gowdy's tenacious and dogged determination to get to the REAL truth of Benghazi but I think he fails to recognize there is resistance to his investigation within the RNC which will provide roadblocks and time constraints. I don't see Boehner, McConnell, and other RNC leaders joining in this most important expose' of government corruption and LIES.
It's what really separates democrats from Republicans. When the democrats hold a hearing, (Nixon and Watergate) they leave NO STONE unturned and no witness excused or murdered. ALL the democrats participate and the news media are joined and are ready to copulate or should I say cooperate.
