Previously, I had mentioned that as the Membership grows, it becomes increasingly more time-consuming for any one individual to adequately serve your needs. Make no mistake, REAL CONSERVATIVES will be here, serving the Conservative cause, at least through election day, 2010...because I have committed to that. The question before us is: Full-Time?, ..or something less?...That’s up to you, the Membership of REAL CONSERVATIVES.

This is the dilemma that now faces us...ALL of us.

Without your affirmative participation in this endeavor with your minimal financial support, how do you expect that one person can handle a membership that is exponentially growing? The membership has grown, only by word of mouth, to over 300 Members in 9 short months. What will you expect of this Conservative site, with no financial support, and only one administrator, when the membership doubles, triples, or quadruples? Less than 4% of the Members have contributed.

The reason that I have not, as yet, allowed it to grow more rapidly, is the fiscal reality that if I allowed it to continually grow with virtually no VOLUNTARY financial support from its Members, I would be quickly overwhelmed and the overall quality of the site would be compromised.

I have even offered to turn this site over to any qualified, responsible Conservative Member who would be willing to “pick up the Torch” and run with it for no compensation......No takers.

I am sure, that if you seriously consider the implications, you will come to the same conclusion that yes, some financial support is the only responsible way to keep this grassroots Conservative voice growing. By your continued Membership on this site I can only conclude that you believe that it is a good thing for it to grow. You must agree with the content presented here, or you would have been gone a long time ago.

I created REAL CONSERVATIVES voluntarily, to express Traditional American Values, and what you see before you when you log on everyday is self-evident of it’s inherent value to the Conservative philosophy. I wanted to give solid definition to those values, and provide a justifiable repository of Conservative Thought for all Citizens who may have felt lost in the aftermath of the 2008 elections.

...so, is this site, REAL CONSERVATIVES, worthy of your collective, minimal support, or not?

To date, less than four percent of the Membership has done their part and donated. Donations have been limited to $20.00 at any one time. You do the math. No one will get rich doing this. But it will assure that a staunch Conservative voice will continue to advance Traditional American Values. It’s up to YOU.... You decide. ...Because it’s YOUR VOICE that stands to be silenced by “...the poisoned water of Apathy”. Isn’t it that very same kind of Apathy that may have been the main reason we, as a Nation, are now faced with the current evil that now confronts us?

If I have managed to communicate the aforementioned dilemma to you in practical, understandable terms, why not consider “chipping in” with a one-time donation?

No Pay-Pal, no credit cards, just good, old-fashioned U.S. currency. I’d sell you my shirt if you really needed it, but, NO CHECKS PLEASE. Cash is sufficient, and is... “legal tender for all debts, public and private” No fancy electronic transfers and the like... I don’t want that responsibility. I’m old-fashioned, and I like simplicity. A cash contribution will never compromise your identity, and is the safest form of currency. I’ve had members write to me saying they would donate, but were uncomfortable with sending cash through the mail. That’s wrong. You’ve already received the benefit of my labor. You’re not risking anything. The USPS was created 235 years ago by one of our Founding Fathers, Ben Franklin. It is sufficient.. You will be provided with an e-Receipt promptly, when your donation is received. There have even been two anonymous donations which have been promptly posted in the ‘Support’ section, for all to see. Overall results are posted quarterly, the next of which will be posted on April 15, 2010. The practical reality is that this site, like all the others, needs Member financial support.

If that’s good enough for you, it works for me. I wish it were not necessary to remain anonymous, but for personal security reasons, especially in the current political climate, the only way the content of my character can be revealed to you is through the quality of the content offered here. Regretfully, I must remain covert, for my own personal security. If you think that is silly, you may be correct, but the better part of Valor tells me that it’s O.K. You just need a little faith, to trust in what you can see with your own eyes, and some common sense.

**Remember, any contribution, ideally, should be Voluntary. There are instances where even a small amount is not possible for some. This is understandable, and for that reason there are some Members who should not donate at all. That is why membership on this site is free and open to any citizen, without any obligation to donate. If this is your circumstance, your money is not wanted. Membership here should not pose hardship on anyone. The rule of thumb is: “Donate when you can, but only IF you can.”

Hey, my friend

I understand Uncle's policy of not publicizing contributers...out of respect for their privacy. READ THE ENTIRE LETTER ABOVE. He created this site and HE sets the policy. Personally, I don't care who knows that I donated. As a matter of fact, I tried to send more, but it was "returned to sender" with a note saying that I had done my part. I can only say what I said to another member a couple of weeks ago:

Sure, you are not paying for the internet when you donate to a cause, you are paying for the content provided and the quality thereof, on that tax-funded vehicle, the internet. Who do you think produces that content for you? Your statement about contributing sounds a bit naive. I ran a production company years ago and people weren't spending their money on the vinyl used to make the records, they were buying the talent of the artists that performed on those records. They weren't buying the record company, the studios, the buildings, etc., but rather they content of the talent manifested therein. To ignore the labor involved in putting that all together and presenting it to the general public is a bit of self-serving denial of inherent talent. When I donate to a cause, whether its to my church, (I realize I'm not purchasing the Real Estate, but rather supporting a worthy cause, knowing my Pastor cannot feed his family and deliver his services without some monetary support.), or to various other patriotic causes, it is with the realization that, were it not for my support and the support of others, my church would be without a leader, and the Real Estate on which it stands would probably be plowed under and converted to a shopping mall.
