The fight is NOT over vis-a-vis government-run healthcare!!

The back door is still open to a national health plan...so watch out... Obama has once again done his campaign dance to speak to (and we'll not say speak WITH as there's none of that!) the American people, trying to calm their fears about this onerous change at a time of economic freefall. We must read whatever concoction comes out of committee, the House, and/or the Senate to be voted on to ensure it will not enslave us all in a plan which will crash and burn, with the resultant severe restrictions and rationing we believe will come down the pike. Think NOT that there will be no rationing; think NOT that you won't have a problem finding a doctor, think NOT that your doctor may no longer want to treat you (ESPECIALLY if you have private insurance which pays more!).

Tell congress to start with the SMALL stuff FIRST (tort reform, allowing insurance companies to operate across state lines, rooting out graft and corruption) BEFORE tearing down a system which works for the majority! What happened to majority rule? This makes such sense to so many of us....but we know where the corruptors are on this issue...they WANT the trial lawyers' money! They NEED it for their very political lives!

What happened to TORT REFORM? A little pilot program in the Midwest? That's REFORM? LOL...it's about what you would expect from these extortionists in our government.

We CAN get tort reform if we keep up the pressure on our so-called representatives: (a) call them; (b) write them; (c) e-mail them; and (d) fax them.

An inkling of some good news: May this be the start of groups NOT being able to buy votes in Congress? Would THAT not be splendid??? A little tidbit crossed my consciousness last night, though for the life of me I'd have to go under hypnosis to remember....did we hear someone say something about clamping down on political contributions to politicians? Oh, it's so fleeting...

One of my husbands pal's, and a pal of mine as well (a retired New York City Policeman), said to hubby the other night when he told him I was so into blogging and getting politically active: "Be careful she doesn't just disappear one day." My response was: "Be not afraid, my dear husband....they can't jail the tens of MILLIONS of us who are speaking out, some for the first time in their lives! Where in the world would they PUT us all?"

So we fight on, with good cheer and spirit and hopefully with some common sense alternatives as we fight the ogre of socialism and HUGE government (it's no longer BIG government...it's BIG right now!!).
