The Democrats and Their Enslavement of the Black Community and the Poor of America

Glenn Beck addressed this issue last night (October 1st) quite well, and it certainly bears repeating.

The Democrats have NEVER been friends to the blacks in this country. With the beginning of Lyndon Johnson's "Great Society," a new form of enslavement was born with folks being able to obtain social benefits from the government, and thus a new generation of slaves was born. These folks were ENCOURAGED not to work (why work when you can live on the subsistence the government provides?), NOT to become prosperous members of this country (why expend effort when the government will, essentially, pay you not to work?), NOT to be responsible members of society, NOT to succeed and leave the ghettoes and public housing facilities they live in, NOT to marry and have lots of children (you were REWARDED by having more children and PUNISHED for being married), and thus a NEW FORM OF SLAVERY was brought to bear. Those on extended welfare owe their very existence to the government. They feel STUCK in their situation and feel they can never get out.

The Dems created what might be termed by some to be an "underclass" through their handouts...and thus we saw, as we did with the election of Obama, a young woman saying, "Oh, now I don't have to pay my mortgage or my electric bill!" Her thought was that the government would take care of EVERYTHING in her life.

Where was her PRIDE in her accomplishments in life?? According to her, she had a home...where was her pride in ownership? Her pride was buried deep down and perhaps was erased by the generations of folks on welfare which constitutes an ongoing welfare society.

This mindset is not confined to just our BLACK citizenry, but to ALL in this country.

But these folks are WRONG.... They CAN pull themselves out of the projects and ghettoes in this country...they can work to attain their freedom from the government...and they can prosper in this land which has enabled so many to prosper.

One might say, well, these people have NOTHING as an excuse for their remaining under the thumb of the government. HOGWASH! What about all the millions of immigrants who have come here from the four corners of the world with NOTHING and who have prospered and enriched their lives (and I'm not just talking money here)?

The Democrats NEED an underclass, and they have one which they themselves CREATED.

They don't care about these people....other than HANDOUTS, what have they done for these folks? NOTHING! The politicians do NOT care about the conditions of the housing they live in...they do NOT care that so many of our black youth are lost and do not graduate from high school...they do NOT care that kids 12 years old are having babies...they do NOT care that these folks feel subjugated under what is perceived to be the kind hand of the government.

The politicians do NOT care about the public schools of this country which are riddled with thugs and teachers who do not teach...they do NOT care about the dropout rate... The politicians want to increase the numbers of folks who need assistance because THE POLITICIANS WANT THEIR VOTES.

Bill Cosby, a comic who has some wonderful ideas, HAS IT RIGHT! He has said it all to his fellow black citizens...are they listening? Many do...many are productive members of society...but there are millions who are still left behind with seemingly no hope and no prospects. It takes hard work, a will to succeed, and some gumption and guts. It's RISKY to say to the government, "Thanks, but no thanks...I no longer want your handouts..." But the rewards are great and the self-esteem generated priceless!
