States Sovereignty as Addressed in the Tenth Amendment of the Constitution

Shortly after Obama's innauguration, several states either looked into or actually passed "Resolutions of Sovereignty" under the Tenth Amendment of the United States Constitution.

 

"The powers not delegated to the United States,by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved TO THE STATES RESPECTIVELY, OR TO THE PEOPLE."

 

In the past 3 1/2 years, we have seen this president do any and everything he wants and will circumvent Congress by using the privilage if the Executive Order. Yesterday's order has put into place a portion of the "Dream Act" which was defeated in Congress.

 

I agree that there is more than a simple "need" for immigration reform but blanket amnesty is NOT the answer.

 

I am writing this to ask all of you to contact your state reps & senators and STRONGLY SUGGEST that they pass SOLID resolutions of Sovereignty before the Nov election AND Voter ID laws [Wisconsin's is sitting in our Supreme Court......absolute NONSENCE!!!].

 

After that.....please contact your federal congressmen & senators and demand they stand up to this BULLY who has effectivly removed them from the conversation of policies and laws.

 

It is long past time that these people understand for WHOM they work...if they refuse to even speak out, let's tell them they are TEMPORARY and can and WILL be replaced by those who will "serve at the pleasure of the GOVERNED" ------ NOT the other way around!!!!

There are two ways the US Constitution can be amended [as well as my first request]

1) Congress can begin the process followed by a national vote on the proposals.

However;

2) The States [2/3 of them] can vote individually and force a national election on the proposed changes.

I guess those silly white European men DID almost anticipate our current situation...who-da-thunk-it????
