When a photo of a man’s underwear-clad crotch emerged from Rep. Anthony Weiner’s Twitter universe and made headlines, the congressman seemed determined to put the situation behind him. But the scandal just won’t go away, especially since Weiner said Wednesday that he “can’t say with certitude” that the photo isn’t of him.

While the rep has been talking to reporters about the incident, we haven’t heard a peep from his wife, Huma Abedin. A source told POLITICO on Wednesday that Abedin's sticking to the old routine and was spotted at work.

Currently the State Department’s deputy chief of staff for operations and formerly Hillary Clinton’s traveling chief of staff, Abedin has a reputation for keeping mum, even when jokes about her husband’s package aren’t trending on Twitter.

Will Abedin step up and speak out for her man? Going from her media-shy history, probably not. (The one publication that has gotten Abedin to gab in the past is Vogue. She was profiled in the style glossy in 2007 and gave details about her ornate wedding dress in 2010.)

When Abedin tied the knot with Weiner in Sept. 2010, Bill Clinton, who officiated the ceremony, chatted more about the big day than she did. “If I had a second daughter, it would be Huma,” said Clinton during her wedding reception. In March, the former president gushed again, saying she looked “like a Dior model.”

At the Congressional Correspondents’ Dinner at the end of March, Weiner took over the Abedin praising duties. He told the guests, “My beautiful wife Huma is here today … She’s lovely and elegant and brilliant and widely respected throughout this town so obviously opposites attract.”

Bill the "cigar man" Clinton officiated the ceremony??? Well no wonder Mr. Weiner does NOT know how to conceal his zeal for his peel.

He obviously was looking over the field of young female invitees to the reception while BIG BILL was giving him instructions on "How to DO it".
