More Interested In Making Political Hay Than Fixing Anything…

The Mexican drug cartels have been invading the United States for many years- trafficking in illegal drugs and smuggling illegal aliens. Now we learn that a large section of the Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge has been closed to the public, because heavily armed Mexican thugs currently infest what is referred to as the Tucson Corridor. Moreover, our federal government is doing more to thwart Arizona’s self-defense than turn back the relentless enemy invasion. Treason? Ask any Arizona sheriff…

After nine years of military involvement in Afghanistan and over a thousand US casualties, it has become increasingly clear that a declared victory there will be only temporary- and that the end result of that protracted military effort will be all too similar to our defeat in Vietnam. As US troops leave Afghanistan, al-Qaeda and Taliban insurgents will swarm in from other Muslim countries in the region. Iran will be the real victor when we leave. Meanwhile, armed Mexican criminals and a host of other terrorists continue to flood across our own southern border- and our valiant military is disallowed from protecting us. Treason? Ask any American mother who has lost a child to combat in Afghanistan- or to the senseless violence along our southern border…

And by the way- Afghanistan’s recently touted mineral wealth is anything but breaking news. The Russians knew it was there. The locations of these mineral deposits were marked on Russian maps. Are we to believe that these natural resources will now be bequeathed to the Taliban- and developed by Iran? More likely, that mineral wealth will serve as yet another excuse to prolong our military involvement in Afghanistan…

Our economy still limps along- and recent unemployment reports indicate things are getting worse. About 50,000,000 Americans are out of work. New jobless claims continue to rise: “In the week ending June 12, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 472,000, an increase of 12,000 from the previous week’s revised figure of 460,000.” Instead of cutting spending and taxes to stimulate the economy, Congress has heavily mortgaged our future for pork projects and bailouts that have had little positive effect. Treason? Ask any unemployed American father trying to feed his family…

America has by far the best healthcare delivery system in the world. The whole of Obama Care is a blatant unconstitutional attempt to destroy that wonder of American ingenuity- and also increase the tax burden of every American worker and retiree. Treason? Ask your family doctor…

Finally, after nearly two months of a catastrophic oil spill, this unprecedented ecological crisis in the Gulf needs no further introduction. However, the federal government has done more to thwart Louisiana’s self-defense than turn back the relentless invasion of crude oil that is now reported to be 60,000 barrels a day. Treason? Ask Bobby Jindal…

This litany is by no means complete. Is a revolution brewing? No- just the same one that’s been smoldering since the Colonies rebelled against the Crown. My fear is that the Obama administration will be successful in turning citizen against citizen- instead of our national anger being turned against the evermore tyrannical and inefficient federal government that is causing our problems.

Directing America’s billowing anger toward British Petroleum at a time when that beleaguered corporation must financially succeed to make adequate restoration and reparation in the Gulf Coast community is counterproductive. And don’t underestimate the plight of American pension plans invested in BP. President Obama appears to be more concerned about pressing his political agenda, including his radical energy policies- than stopping the flow of crude and cleaning up the mess. Obama is trying to get himself off the hook for doing virtually nothing during the first few weeks of the crisis. Barry has a habit of killing any goose capable of laying a golden egg. I believe that BP’s demise would be the final blow- the knockout punch for the American economy- with US taxpayers left liable and in the lurch…

Generally speaking, President Obama has always used his influence to put a shine on himself and not the image of America- as he made apology after apology for America’s sacrifices abroad. He has continually advanced his socialist agenda at the expense of working Americans. Haughty and aloof, he is emotionally detached from the dark cloud of financial pain and suffering that continues to spread across America. In a word, treason!

Obama’s refusal to meet with Tony Hayward until Day 58 of this mess is inexcusable. When Barry did meet with Hayward and other BP executives for a few minutes yesterday, he pulled off a $20 billion shakedown. I might add that Barry has found plenty of time for golf during the crisis- and took advantage of it to press his political agenda.

Furthermore, I find today’s Congressional grilling of Tony Hayward utterly disgusting. Like Obama, the questioners seemed more interested in making political hay than fixing anything…

Obama's behavior should not come as any surprise. Most of us who know the liberal, socialist agenda knew this guy was creeper from day one. Poor Bobby Jindal looks like he's about to have a breakdown and there's bimbo barack having fun promoting himself as usual. That man (BO) loves the camera.
