You can subscribe to state and district level groups, blog, upload pics, and communicate with people in your area. A social network site for the FairTax with a grassroots focus, which I hope will be very successful in organizing supporters.

A GRASSROOTS HERO ON A NATIONAL SCALE

Marilyn reported the American’s For Prosperity Summit this past weekend was a great opportunity to showcase the FairTax and that they did. Jim Tomasik also had this to say:
The Relentless Marilyn Rickert: A FairTax Grass Roots Hero on a National Scale.

There are many heroes in the grassroots army that relentlessly continue the fight to bring fruition a fairly taxed America . In my eyes, the regional director from Illinois , Marilyn Rickert is one of these. She, like the rest of them, have labored in our individual states to persuade our federally elected officials to support our cause; they all know that there is a need for the average citizen to become educated and energized enough to speak out.

We all push to build an army of citizens to speak out and demand the Fair Tax. Fair Tax is the only viable tax reform option we have today that will redirect the very course our country takes in the future domestically speaking. Marilyn has been out ‘front and center’ in the fight on both the local and national scene. She has also has worked continuously behind the curtains arranging events to promote. She has been to Washington many times to lobby within the halls of our Congress. She's sort of like the Energizer bunny wearing a Fair Tax shirt.

Even the Energizer Bunny runs down sooner or later.

Some of us saw her literally wear herself out this past weekend at the ‘American’s For Prosperity Summit ’ in Arlington , VA. She planned out the mission and executed it flawlessly. She "asked Forgiveness" instead of "asking permission" to set up the Fair Tax table in the most prominent location at the event. This move was nothing short of brilliant and it paid off very well. Our table was visited very heavily, I dare say more than any other. There was a constant barrage of people saying they had already heard of and were in support of Fair Tax. There were also a lot of people very eager to learn about it.

Marilyn had the foresight to know that this would be a great event to show a Fair Tax presence. She made it happen. The attendees of the ‘AFP’ summit were especially predisposed to the type of change being offered at our table. The event catered to the change demanding grassroots’ types. The only regret I had was that we did not have more ‘boots on the ground’ to work the crowd that was ripe for the picking. Never the less, this event was a huge success!

The whole thing would not have happened were it not for Marilyn’s driving push. \pard sa99

America needs the Fair Tax Movement like it needed the Civil Rights Movement and every other movement that promoted fairness to citizens. All those movements had many ‘sung’ and many more ‘unsung’ heroes. Someday children will look back in history and learn of this movement and there will be many ‘sung’ heroes who jumped on board as the FairTax reality set in. Marilyn has been there all along.

While I do not want to take away from anyone who has put their heart and soul into FairTax, I do want to point out the following; Marilyn has successfully, yet most humbly, worked to promote FairTax on a national scale. She has done this without pay, often without thanks, and sometimes without notice.

I also want to say’ "Thank you Marilyn!"
