LTC West was my Battalion Commander in Iraq in 2003. Never have I served under a greater leader. His actions may well have saved my life and the lives of some of my buddies. I will
never be able to thank him enough for the courage, compassion, and
integrity he showed. Not a day goes by that I don't think about what he
did for us. How can I or any of my buddies ever thank him enough?

LTC West is the real deal. Ask ANYONE who ever served under him and they'll tell you the same thing. You can't "fake" true leadership and
compassion. He genuinely cared about his soldiers and it showed. He was
known in our unit for his "common sense" leadership and as a man that
you could trust with your life. He is the true epitomy of a leader.

LTC West said that if it meant saving the lives of his soldiers that he'd "go to hell with a gasoline can in his hand". - Sir, I speak on
behalf of all of us in saying, we'd follow you there.

America needs more men like Allen West.

America needs more men like Allen West.

A new independent poll shows Republican Allen West, a favorite of tea party activists, with a narrow lead over Democratic Congressman Ron
Klein.

West, who lives in Plantation, has 47 percent of the vote according to the Sunshine State News Service poll released Thursday.

Klein, who lives in Boca Raton, has 44 percent in the survey of likely voters conducted Oct. 17-19.

The poll found 9 percent are undecided.
