Jimmie Carter had a rotten foreign policy when he was president and it hasn't ripened any with age.

Jimmy Carter unloads on Obama

Jimmy_Carter-340x170

Jimmy Carter knows who to blame for the world’s troubles: the United States.

Speaking Sunday in San Francisco, the former president told the Commonwealth Club,“Our country is now looked upon as the foremost war-like nation on earth, and there is almost a complete dearth now of commitment of America to negotiate differences with others.”

It’s just the latest slam on the U.S. He’s also blasted staunch allies Britain and Israel, while offering words of support for America-haters Iran, Hamas, Saddam Hussein and North Korea.

This time, Carter even scorched the Obama administration for its handling of the Mideast.

“The United States has, you might say, zero influence either in Jerusalem or among the Palestinians, and I’m very grieved about that.”

Carter also faulted Obama for being too tough on American enemies that are pursuing nuclear capabilities. Carter thinks the U.S would have more influence if it promised to drop sanctions against Iran and North Korea.

And he believes talk is the answer.

“Not a single day of talks with North Korea since President Obama has been in office,” he said.

Carter’s own talk hasn’t always had the intended result. The deal he brokered with North Korea in 1994 to dismantle its nuclear weapons program in return for oil and two nuclear reactors fell through in 2002.

Yet the former president continued to defend the communist regime. He excused a North Korean attack on a South Korean island in 2010, saying it was simply “designed to remind the world that they deserve respect in negotiations that will shape their future.”

Since leaving office, Carter repeatedly has expressed sympathy for America’s enemies and degraded U.S. allies.

In 2007, he wrote a book comparing Israel to South Africa during apartheid.

“Palestine: Peace, Not Apartheid” blamed Israel for the impasse with Palestinians, saying they would give up terrorism if only Israel would take certain political steps.

“It is imperative that the general Arab community and all significant Palestinian groups make it clear that they will end the suicide bombings and other acts of terrorism when international laws and the ultimate goals of the Roadmap for Peace are accepted by Israel.”

Carter also expressed sympathy to North Korea upon the death of dictator Kim Jong-il in 2011. The Korean Central News Agency reported Carter sent a note of condolence to Kim’s son and successor.

Read “Jimmy Carter: The Liberal Left and World Chaos,” and see Mike...

The note read: “Jimmy Carter extended condolences to Kim Jong-un and the Korean people over the demise of leader Kim Jong-il. He wished Kim Jong-un every success as he assumes his new responsibility of leadership, looking forward to another visit to [North Korea] in the future.”

In 2007, he slammed the relationship between British Prime Minister Tony Bla..., calling it “abominable … loyal, blind, apparently subservient.”

“I think that the almost undeviating support by Great Britain for the ill-advised policies of President Bush in Iraq have been a major tragedy for the world,” he said.

Carter had even stronger words for President George W. Bush.

“I think as far as the adverse impact on the nation around the world, this administration has been the worst in history,” he said.

As WND reported in 2005, Carter hob-knobbed with an unregistered agent of Saddam Hussein, Samir Vincent, inviting him into his home, and giving him a guided tour of the Carter Center in Atlanta.

Vincent helped Iraq evade compliance with the U.N.-approved “Oil for Food” program, which funneled billions of dollars into Saddam’s military.

While wining and dining the Iraqi agent, Carter blasted U.S. foreign policy in Iraq and the economic sanctions that had been imposed against Saddam because of his repeated refusals to comply with U.N. sanctions.

Carter later emerged as one of the leading figures to oppose Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Carter also expressed support for the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas, which advocates for the destruction of Israel .

In 2006, he made a personal promise to ambassadors from Egypt, Pakistan and Cuba that he would fight to undermine U.S. opposition to a new U.N. Human Rights Commission panel. The U.S. opposed the new panel because it would continue to allow known human-rights abusers to serve on the commission.

“My hope is that when the vote is taken … the other members will outvote the United States,” he said.

Every once in a while the liberal progressive democrat machine will trot out their most "successful" (sarcasm) foreign policy expert and let him tee off on any REAL foreign policy advocate like George Bush. But this time his aim was off a bit, he hit one of their own. What a mental cripple. Don't tell the dems though. They think that taking any pot shots at Bush are like money in the bank.
Do they really think We the people regard ANYTHING, Mr. Carter has to say, as relevant?
When Carter made Anwar Saddat and Menachem Bagin agree with the Carter peace plan, only Begin and Carter lived to see the results. Egypt lost Saddat to a military coup and Egypt as we all know has been "REALLY STABLE" (more sarcasm) ever since. Israel on the other hand has grown stronger and stronger until only recently when the Obama/democrat machine foreign policy began to change the players on the world stage.
It's a good thing Obama is limited to two terms in our White House. The world wouldn't make it were there a delay getting him out ASAP.
`
`With Obama as point man, even the pyramids shall crumble.

Indoctrination? Houston Public School Assembly Slams Bush and Heaps Praise on Obama (Update: District Apologizes)

The Katherine Smith Elementary School in Houston held an assembly on Tuesday. The program — which was forwarded to Houston radio host Joe Pags — was innocently titled, “A Dream Come True – Living in the present by remembering the past and looking forward to the future.”

According to the program, the show featured three cast members — one student acting as a speaker and two as Michelle and Barack Obama, and students singing seven songs. As you might expect from the title of the show, and the image below (also from the cover page), most of the songs are a salute to civil rights heroes like Rosa Parks and Dr. Matin Luther King, Jr. But there is also considerable adoration heaped upon President Obama.

While the majority of the program might be considered to be an over-the-top tribute to President Obama, the very first song, “Feels Like Change” actually takes a shot at President Bush.

The rest of the songs, as they were performed:

I Have A Dream – Dr. King is the complete focus of this song.

It’s A New Day – This song sounds more like something that was sung the morning after Obama’s first win in 2008.

I Believe – Another song with lyrics that seem to come from 2008 and the days leading up to and just after the election.

This One’s For You – This song is a complete tribute or salute to President Obama.

Following that Obama tribute was another song that tied the president to Rosa Parks and Dr. King.

“Rosa Sat” is quoted on the front page of the program and includes an oft-repeated refrain:

Rosa sat so Martin could walk

Martin walked so Barack could Run

Barack ran, he ran and he won

So that all our children could fly.

Those words are repeated six times during the song. But there are some other verses that have raised eyebrows from parents:

Thousands of people that November night.

All of us here were for the long fight.

Now we’re as one,

Creating a new nation.

Join together in celebration.

By having students sing “all of us here were for the long fight” assumes that 100% of the children were supporters of the president. Were they? Additionally, some parents have asked about the line saying, “Now we’re as one, creating a new nation.”

TheBlaze has contacted the Katherine Smith Elementary School several times, requesting an interview with Principal Salazar.  As of this writing, Ms. Salazar has not responded to this request. We have also asked Terry Greer, the Superintendent of the Houston Independent School District to comment on the topic.

As this story was going to press, we received the following response from Superintendent Greer’s spokesperson.

The song lyrics you received were used as part of an after-school PTO program celebrating Black History Month at the school.  Students who participated had signed permission slips from their parents to participate in this after-school event.  They danced to the music, but did not sing or otherwise recite the lyrics.  Copies of the lyrics were given to the parents, but not the students.   This program was organized by three first-year teachers, who mistakenly failed to get the principal’s approval to distribute the song lyrics.  After reviewing the lyrics, the principal agrees that some of the songs were overly political and should not have been included in the program.  The teachers who coordinated the program have been reminded that materials such as this must receive prior approval by the principal in the future.  The principal apologizes to those who may have been offended by some of the lyrics that were included in the PTO program.

How do you feel about the program?
