Is a "Mood Disorder" a REAL disorder? Is it worth a monthly payment of $8,700.00 per (month) ?

Convict Jackson Jr. gets $8.7k a month disability for “mood disorder.” I should be so crazy.

Whenever you hear our dear politicians in Washington DC say there’s nothing more to cut or that they’re just like us, let me give you a friendly reminder. As Breitbart reported after his jail sentencing, convicted ex-congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-IL) receives $8,700 per month in government disability pay, as well as a partial federal pension of $45,000.

That generous $8,700 in disability comes thanks to Jackson’s sudden development of a “mood disorder” as the federal government began looking to indict him. Jackson, who was sentenced to 2.5 years in prison, had no history of mental illness during his prior 17 years in Congress.

And I wouldn’t be surprised if Jackson Jr. eventually gets a pardon from his Chicago buddy, Barack Hussein Obama.

I firmly believe the Congressional pension program needs to be reformed, right along with instituting term limits for Members of the US House and Senate. A political elitism is being created that does not bode well for the American interest because it only serves self and special interest.

As I flew out to San Diego for Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America, my prayer on National Prayer Day is that Americans wake up and realize there is more to life than “Dancing with the Stars” and Donald Sterling-type distractions.

If we continue down the path of the welfare nanny-state and dependency society, what shall we pass on to subsequent generations? Think my fellow Americans, start to think.

Jesse Jackson Jr. moved to another prison after skirmish with guards, solitary stint: report

The disgraced former congressman, currently serving a 2 1/2-year sentence for buying lavish items with campaign funds, was relocated to a minimum-security camp in Alabama.

Federal officials have relocated Jesse Jackson Jr. — who has been incarcerated since October after pleading guilty to misusing campaign funds — to another prison after the former congressman wrangled with guards and was placed in solitary confinement.

Jackson, who had been serving a 2 ½-year prison term at a federal prison in North Carolina, was moved to a minimum-security prison camp in Montgomery, Ala., in recent weeks, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

The disgraced Chicago Democrat reportedly raised the ire of guards at the North Carolina facility after he began advising fellow prisoners about their rights behind bars.

As a result, guards placed Jackson in solitary confinement for as long as five days, sources told the Sun-Times.

Following the incident, however, prison officials held a hearing to investigate what happened and cleared Jackson of any wrongdoing, the sources said. The hearing also granted Jackson a transfer to another prison, which the former pol had requested.

Federal Bureau of Prisons representatives didn't immediately respond to questions about what prison Jackson had been transferred to, but the agency's website currently shows that Jackson is now an inmate at the Montgomery, Ala., Federal Prison Camp, a minimum-security facility.

Jackson, 49, pleaded guilty in February 2013 to spending more than $750,000 in campaign funds on lavish personal items, including a gold Rolex watch, furniture and fancy clothes.

The son of famed civil rights leader Jesse Jackson suffers from bipolar disorder, a diagnosis he announced publicly after the feds began investigating him.

Jackson is schedule to be released Dec. 31, 2015, according to the Bureau of Prisons.
