How Could Our Government Ever Allow this to Happen Just for the Sake of Political Correctness?


On the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of 2009, the innocent wounded of Fort Hood will remember their fallen friends, and wonder how a man dressed in the Army uniform was allowed to infiltrate their base and go on a jihad right there in their midst. How a man who had been observed by so many as acting in a suspicious manner and yet he was allowed to continue because they were afraid to appear as Islamophobes or hate mongers or worse yet, politically incorrect!

Those wounded and dead now rely upon us to ask the questions their superiors in the chain of command cannot comfortably answer. Calling the injured and dead of Fort Hood “victims” perpetuates the blindness that compelled those men and women to face the enemy unarmed. They are not victims, but casualties of war… and as far as I’m concerned, Sergeant Kimberly Munley, who took their cowardly attacker down, is a wounded veteran today and deserves the purple heart. Her actions are no different at Fort Hood than if she had performed her duty in Afghanistan. A home grown terrorists decided to proclaim jihad on his fellow soldiers. Fellow members of the military whom he swore an oath to protect and defend against all enemies foreign and domestic. He is now a traitor, a terrorists, and a coward. For our government and our president to downplay that fact for the sake of political correctness shows that they still don't get it. We are at war and pussy footing around with terrorists has already gotten way too many people killed!

The terrorist enemy doesn’t have a formal chain of command that can sign an armistice, they don’t muster on clearly defined battlefields, and they’re quite happy to benefit from the efforts of any and all deranged whacos who happen to come along. If we don’t stand behind our professional soldiers, and give them the tools to do their jobs now, we will all need to become soldiers before this enemy is defeated. Muslim's any and all are the enemy now. Former president Bush said this was not a war with Islam. He was dead wrong. Islam is the religion that keeps pumping out the terrorists. The FBI freely admits that at least 200 Muslim religious buildings in the United States openly preach jihad against the American Infidels. Is it politically correct for us to sit back and wait to see what is going to happen? For us to wait and see if they kill anybody else? Killing and death is a way of life for these people. They believe strapping on a bomb and blowing up women and children in a public place at random is an honorable way to die and will guarantee them entry to heaven. Can anything be sicker than that???

Somewhere in the world tomorrow, an American soldier will ring in the eleventh hour of the eleventh day with gunfire. Another will arrive home after an honorable tour of duty, perhaps passing brothers and sisters in arms saying farewell to their families. A mother’s tears will fall on a letter from the far side of the world. Old veterans will spend a beautiful afternoon watching children play beneath the flag they raised at Anzio, Guadalcanal, Incheon, or Khe Sanh. Young veterans will put their lives on the line, to give the children of Iraq and Afghanistan a chance at a future free from murderous evil. A little girl will playfully salute a uniform she will one day grow up to wear. A pilot will land a machine that was impossible in his grandfather’s day on the heaving deck of an aircraft carrier. The USS New York will ride at anchor, close to the site of the fallen buildings whose bones became her steel.

The veterans of the United States military have always been there for us, in the desperate eleventh hour of our need. But more and more we see an administration who would have the hands of these soldiers tied so that they are weak and ineffective in accomplishing their goals. America has to wake up and damn fast! Or else it's all over. We will be known as the generation who despised our freedom and who ignored the importance of maintaining that freedom. The generation who gave it all away in the name of political correctness! A term which I believe should be wiped from the pages of the English language. How about you?

Everyone should feel obligated to write their congressman and their Senators and insist on a detailed investigation of this matter. Insist that measures be taken to prevent this from ever happening again within the ranks of our military men and women. This could have been prevented and political correctness has cost the lives of 13 people and wounded many more. Any politician should be outraged by this and not allow this to be just swept under the rug. Lets all stay on this until something concrete is done to prevent such and outrage from ever happening again. This man was not just some disturbed man with issues. He was a jihadist with a mission. His friends in Afghanistan celebrated his actions when they heard of this act of terrorism. They know what it is all about. Why can't our leaders recognize it for what it is? That is the question we all should demand an answer to. This will be an absolute insult to our miltary men and women if it is allowed to be covered up.
