Glenn Beck's "Restoring Honor Rally" 8/28/10

Hello everyone, it has been awhile since I've written,[ there are several reasons which I will not go into at this time] I would like to say that I miss you all very much and miss recieving emails from Real Conservatives [we've tried to figure it out but it just keeps happening] ANYWAY......................!

I attended the "Restoring Honor Rally" in our nation's capital yesterday and was deeply moved by several things I witnessed: There were HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of people there ALL ages, ALL races, ALL creeds. They were ALL pleasant, They were ALL [those I encountered at least] positive, and they ALL had faith in God..........some were Catholic, there were also Protestants, Lutherans, Baptists, Methodists, Jews, Hindus and, yes, MUSLIMS!

The political 'stuff' was left behind, as Glenn had requested, we, too left our signs and political baggage behind. Because this rally had nothing to do with politics but the underlying theme was 'RESTORING HONOR'.......this country was based on the principals of honor put forth by honorable men whose faith in the almighty God brought them to the shores of this land in the first place. These men had lived under the oppression of governments that forced a particular religion upon the citizenery of their home lands..........mainly for the purpose of enriching the government coffers with no concern for their immortal souls. Our Founders faith in God was foremost in their minds when they penned the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution.

This is the FIRST nation on this planet, in the history of mankind, that was built on the principals and values set forth by God..................."We hold these truths to be held evident, that ALL men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness [originally stated to be the right to 'own property' but because of economic constraints at that time the wording was changed].

The history we were taught and that our kids and grand kids are being taught is woefully lacking in so many details that, I truly believe, if known, would serve to erase many of the racial and gender issues we've had foisted upon us in the past 50 or so years. It is incumbant on US as parents and grandparents to learn the TRUE HISTORY of this country and to teach our kids and their kids so that they know the wonderful heritage we are trying to share with them.

At the end of yesterdays program, Glenn had 140 clergy members from all different faiths, Christian, Jew, Muslim etc. standing on stage with him. Collectively, they represented 180million American Citizens.....almost 2/3 of the population of this country. They, too, are aware of the need for reawakening of Honor and the rekindling of Faith, Hope and Charity in our society.

We need to forego our cyncism and turn once more to our Lord. We need to understand that life is really not complicated if we know and live by His laws..............We love Him above everything and love our neighbors as we love Him. One of the MOST difficult things to say [and MEAN] when praying is "Thy will be done". We all need to give out hearts to Him.

That does not, however, mean that any of us should take passive roles any more in our government. We got here because we were fat and lazy and didn't take the time to do our homework about the people we were electing to REPRESENT us in our central government. They need to understand, in NO UNCERTAIN TERMS, EXACTLY FOR WHOM THEY ARE WORKING! And that they will be held accountable for their behavior when doing that job. We need to pass term limits, change the present pension deals for these people and several other 'perks' as well. They work for us....they will have temporary positions and then will return to their previous lives and live under the laws they pass, just like the rest of us. Any and all travel on government owned aircraft will be reimbursed appropriately [not at super-saver rates] etc., etc., etc.,

The rally was empowering......Spiritually and Emmotionally, there are more of us then there are of them!

With God's help we can and WILL put our country back on track!
