Much ado has been made about how this country has become polarized and all the terrible conflicting positions espoused by people who have been corrupted by evil conservatives, mainly the organizers of the tea party movement.

In his op-ed piece on May 26, David Broder said, "A liberal government is struggling to impose its agenda on an electorate increasingly responsive to an activist conservative movement operating inside the Republican Party."

Why is this so?. Could it possibly be that this liberal government of which Mr. Broder speaks is totally ineffective?

After living the Obama experience for almost two years, one thing has become quite clear. The president is either a marxist, a socialist or incompetent (and... he is not as incompetent as he seems). A socialist/marxist would try to run down and BANKRUPT the country in order to make it look bad and use this as an excuse to "fundamentally change" America.

This is by no means a new idea. It has been tried in Europe by extremists on both the left and right, and several times it has succeeded.

People in America moving toward right-center as a reaction to the failed ultra-left policies of the present administration demonstrate an attempt to resist the lunacy that grips other parts of the world from time to time.

Americans are savvy enough to know that hard work and sensible management of their finances on both a personal and governmental level, not promises of a free lunch, will lead to success and happier, healthier lives. This is why tea party rallies are so attractive to the American public.

Changing attitudes all across this great nation of ours will become evident in the mid-term elections, when the CONSERVATIVES, mainly Republicans, capture both houses of Congress, and in 2012, when a new president gets elected, proving that at least sometimes, order does come out of chaos.
