REAL CONSERVATIVES

NEVER TOLERATE TYRANNY!....Conservative voices from the GRASSROOTS.

Yesterday, December 10. 2009, Congress did it again! They still have not gotten the message and they still are not paying attention to we the people! What have they done again???

This time stuffing 5,000 earmarks into the 2011 budget and giving fellow members of Congress less than 24 hours to review it...which comes out to only 17.2 seconds of review time for each earmark. And mind you, many of the ones doing it were Republicans!!!

Oh, it's true alright - Not one Republican Incumbent voted in favor of passing the budget, but MOST of them still stuffed in earmarks. Why would they do that? Because they knew that the Democrats would pass the budget anyway, even if many Republicans did not vote for it. They knew they are outnumbered and the measure would easily pass anyawy. So they can now head home and trumpet how they "voted against the budget" but they will not mention how they stuffed in earmarks prior to the vote knowing they would get them anyway even if they themselves dod not vote for the budget to pass.

THAT IS EXCEPT for Congressman Jason Chaffetz at least who was on Neil Cavuto's show yesterday...Congressman Jason Chaffetz, who taught candidates how to win elections without relying on money or begging for fair media coversage.

Take a look at Jason's 3 minute interview on Neil Cavuto's show, where Cavuto pointed out that they verified that Chaffetz asked for no pork and was a man of his word: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lf5nrgnjoRY&feature=channel

THEN check out the last 45 seconds of Cavuto's show where he asks America to think about what Chaffetz is doing and what it would be like if we had 434 more Congressmen like him: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0T77Yui5ZK4&feature=channel

This just might be a great time to send these links along to your friends, neighbors, and associates...Let them know you hope they too will find, vett, endorse, and elect 434 more Congressman just like Jason Chaffetz...and invite them to join you and to lend a hand.

I can't wait for January. We have 100's of new candidates getting campaigns under way and we'll start our election efforts in earnest all over the country. Pay close attention to the candidates because the day of the incumbant politician who returns to Washington over and over again for decades is about to come to an end. People like you and me are fed up and very angry at how the Democrat controlled government has treated the American people. But rest assured, this is not just about politics along party lines. There are plenty of Republicans in Washington who need to be fired as well. Party line is irrelavent. What matters most is what they stand for. If you are like me, I am just as likely to vote for a Democrat if he is going to be the best choice. I will not vote for a Republican if he just doesn't get it. And believe me, there is no shortage of people in Washington who just don't get it. We have tried beating them over the head, we have tried emails, faxes, phone calls letter writing campaigns and even marching on Washington. And still they don't get it. So we hope they finally get it when they are sitting on the plane heading home unemployed after the 2010 election.

What the election in 2010 is going to be about is not what party they belong to or who has been there the longest or who has the best hair do. It will be about real people who are just like us and understand what it is like out here in the real world for us. It is about people who relaize they work for us and not for the Washington insiders with their elite friends and special interest groups. Lets work hard next year to make sure a lot more good people like Jason Chaffetz are sent to Washington. He gets it!

As we move ever closer to the next election, there is always that nagging voice that keeps saying if only we had one more party to break the stalemate or one more party to take the lead when the other two party's have gone off the track. Yes, I too sometimes wish for a third party . . . . . one equal in power and membership to the republicans and the democrats. I don't think there has EVER been a time in history when the country needs a third party more, to take our government back from the abyss being created by our present two party system.
But third party's have been so unsuccessful in the past. How does a viable third party get started? How does a viable third party take power? Who leads that viable third party and where do the leaders come from? Am I thinking along the wrong lines? Should I be searching for a new paradigm to define this new party? If a new party existed and IT had all the planks asked for by conservatives would anybody vote for it's candidates or would everybody freeze and pull the lever for the tried and true, sure to bleed you dry, democrats and/or republicans?
Help me out here?

Here is some more good information from my friend:

In searching for the bills politicians have introduced and the pork amendments they have stuck onto the bills. It seems to be difficult since I suppose they would try to keep this information from us as much as possible. But I'm sure it is out there. Just have to find it.

Meanwhile Sean Hannity has some helpful stuff on his site. Here are the links.
One is an interactive map and the other tells you how they voted on various issues.

Enjoy!
Preston

My friend Preston Miller sent me the following message information:

By: Thomas Woodward - CEO - Woodward and Mortensen Inc.

As a former dyed in the wool Democrat, I feel an intense obligation to remind as many non-progressive Democrats and my friends the Libertarians and Independents about just what our friends, the "Progressive" Democrats of today, really stand for. First let me say, the Democratic party and the Republican party too for that matter are not the parties of your parents and grandparents. No, no, they have undergone some huge changes in the last few years. That change can be summed up as "PROGRESSIVISM"!

This is just a friendly reminder to our libertarian and independent friends as well as anyone supporting either of the two parties, that in addition to spending hundreds of billions (or sometimes even trillions) of dollars on a government takeover of our health care system, as well as spending hundred of billions of dollars on failed economic stimulus programs, and in addition to implementing worthless environmental regulation (Cap and Trade) that has the effect of a massive tax increase on us, the Democrats are still wildly in favor of massive increases in government spending on, well… EVERYTHING!

Senate Democrats recently overcame a Republican filibuster to clear the way for a vote Sunday on a huge end-of-year $1.1 trillion spending bill that gives budget increases far exceeding inflation to much of the government. The Democratic-controlled Senate voted 60-34 on Saturday to end the GOP filibuster that threatened to hold up the legislation. The final vote would send the measure to President Barack Obama for his eager approval.

The measure pays for Medicare and Medicaid shortfalls in benefits, (in other words they are preventing the system from going broke because of their own shortsightedness) and boosts spending for the Education Department, the State Department, the Department of Health and Human Services and many others too numerous to mention here.

Right after the vote on Sunday, the Senate planned to return to legislation to overhaul the health care system, an issue that Democrats hope to reach consensus on in the final days of this year. It's like someone shouted fire in a crowded theater and there is this huge sense of urgency to ram this down the throats of the American people even when 2/3 of them don't want it!

In the coming week, Congress may try to take a defense spending bill and attach a measure that would raise the $12.1 [trillion] debt ceiling and initiate new spending and tax cut efforts to stimulate jobs. Are they completely mad??? Spending more money does nothing to stimulate jobs. Especially when much of that money is spent on useless pork projects and is often simply wasted or just disappears into thin air!

Folks, no one is more conscious than me, (a former dyed in the wool Democrat) of the failures of the GOP and the Democratic party to hold the line on big-government issues. But the last 11 months have shown us that even at their worst, there remains little difference between the level of fiscal irresponsibility whether Democrats or Republicans, and both parties are way on the wrong side of that ledger!!! Yes, that's right, I did say both parties!

It has become more than obvious to me, that we now have shades of parties. What I mean is, there are no longer just plain old Democrats or plain old Republicans. Now we are including descriptive terms such as, "oh, he or she is a moderate, or he or she is a progressive, or he or she is willing to cross the isle and strike a deal". So now we are getting the shaft from either party. It doesn't matter anymore which party you support or perhaps despise. They are no different!!!

I have finally awakened to the fact that the political party system is all just a ruse. It's all a big scam to keep people distracted while bickering back and forth amongst themselves while they work their dirty little deeds regardless of what we the people have to say about it. They just don't get it and they simply don't care about any of us. (except at election time of course) Then they are our best friends and oh, they have been working so hard for us in Washington. Oh yes, then they are really the people we need to send back again and again so they can continue to screw us out of more and more money and more and more freedoms. The two party system is just like Nero playing his fiddle to distract people from the fact that Rome was burning. These guys are distracting us with bickering along party lines while they steal us blind and run this country into ruin!

My friends, we have our first opportunity in 2010 to begin to set matters back on the right track once again. But to do so, we have to do our "HOMEWORK". That's right folks, we can no longer simply watch a few TV adds and then vote for the guy who has the slickest campaign adds or the one who can throw the most mud at the other guy. TV adds are like Sam Wow commercilas. They are designed to wow you and convince you. But they may not be telling the whole truth.

Whenever a serious threat comes along what do they do? They instantly use the media to try to destroy that persons credibility. They do everything they can to drag that person through the mud and tarnish their image. Anything is fair game if it means them getting to keep their jobs in Washington. There are currently no term limits because they will never allow such a thing to take place and there most likey never will be such a thing. But I think you may agree, there really should be term limits. If they won't vote in term limits for themselves, then it's up to us to make sure we carry out term limits ourselves.

Some of the people in Congress and the Senate have been there so long that they are actually growing feeble and senile and can barely navigate into the chambers. Is that the kind of people we need running this country? Sure we love our seniors and I'm approaching that stage of life myself. And perhaps it's proper to appreciate their many years of service, but it's time to step aside and let some new blood in. Allow someone else (someone younger and more vigorous) to have a chance to work for the good of this country.

It's all up to us, "WE THE PEOPLE"......We have to work harder to clean out the thieves and crooks that now infest our federal government in Washington and send some really good people to Washington. The kind of people who won't forget about us and will always remember this..........

"THEY WORK FOR US" !

When I say we have to do our homework, what I mean is this. If you have a particular candidate you like and think maybe you could vote for that person, then lets make real sure before we cast our vote for them. The computer and the internet are wonderful things to help you find out about candidates and test whether or not they are really what they say they are during their campaigns.

And I might add, if you happen to discover a point about a particular candidate while doing your research, whether positive or negative, please share that information with others so they too can make an informed decision. So happy researching folks!!! And remember this important point......the party system is untrustworthy......we must not just vote strictly along party lines any longer. Vote with your heart and your head by becoming an informed voter!

Here are some websites I found particularly helpful in doing your research. You may also know of others. If so share them with friends.

Thank you Gordon for all those links. None of them is currently tracking the issue at hand.
I think I'll go over to the enemy camp and take a look. For SURE they will be tracking all those republican activities that may be useful during the next election.

Here are some useful links to tracking down how people vote in both the Congress and the Senate. I'm still working on finding information on any amendments thay may have sponsored which would include pork barrel add-ons. Let me know if you find any helpful sites that can track amendments.

They have gotten the message - THEY JUST DON'T GIVE A DAMN!!

I was able to take the names of Mitch Mcconnell, Richard Shelby, and Kit Bond from the YouTube video. I've already contacted each of the politicians via email and labeled them each Hypocrites. I'm going to follow up with phone calls and letters for each politician who we can identify. They will all go on my _ _ _ _ list.
