I heard Glenn Beck for the first time, shortly after 9/11/01 on WKRC in Cincinnati. The connection was surprising but defintiely there.

His first atribute is his faith in God, followed by his love of family and his love of country.
He has lived through some very rough times including the loss of his mother through suicide when he was a young teen.

Some people are born with a gift that they are able to access and to share with their fellow humans.
Others are also born with a gift but until they walk through the fire and deal with all of the 'tests' tossed at them...until they hit that 'bottom' where they are paralized with fear and hopelessness and cry out to the single entity that will listen and offer salvation but with the condition that the penetence they profess is real.[Forgiveness is always there if we are willing to accept it]. We are all 'human' we are all imperfect and will make hundreds of errors during our lifetimes...how we deal with the consequences of those errors determines the growth of our souls and the progression of those souls spiritually.

Many of us have prayed for another Ronald Reagan, another torch bearer to lead us out of the abyss......could Glenn be that man? Possibly....but he might also be the harbinger who prepares us for our next 'great leader'. Glenn's message has always been one that holds the American Citizens up as examples to the rest of the world. The message of the 'progressives' has fought to display the US as a selfish, overly proud people. Obama has flown all over the planet and apologized for America. He has striven to minimize the greatness of a people who, raised in a free society have given more to the rest of the world than any nation in the repeated history of the world.

Americans have been free to follow their dreams and to produce things we all take for granted.....electricity, telephone communications, flight, automotibiles, computer technology and with no doubt what so ever the best medical care delivery system, pharmaceuticals, immaging and supportive care EVER in the history of mankind. John F Kennedy opened the door for space exploration [Obama has 'tasked' NASA with being monitors of 'climate change']

Did any of the aforementioned 'inventions' occur because of any government intervention? Absolutely NOT!
They happened because the government got out of the way and allowed the God given creativity of entrapeneurs to create and implement their ideas.

Did these entrapeneurs benefit financially?

ABSOLUTELY!

Did their success inspire and encourage others to come forward and try? Some to FAIL and TRY AGAIN?!? YES!

Never in the history of thhis great land, have we EVER attacked another country for our own purposes. We have gone in to help, to fight, to liberate and to rebuild. Then, our task completed, we return to our home.

We are extraordinarily generous when another country suffers a natural disaster. The generous donations from PRIVATE American citizens flow freely to organizations such as the Red Cross and United Way. Dr's, nurses, private citizens travel at their own expense to assist stricken nations in any way possible.

That is who we are. That is the reason people from depressed and opressed countries risk everything they have ever had including their lives just to GET here, just to have the FREEDOM to work, to contribute and to be free.
Like Reagan,

Beck knows that we are the 'shining city on the hill'. That light is flickering and it is up to us to shelter that flame and keep it burning.

It IS morning in America....a new day.....a renewed sense of pride!
