Recently, Congress voted down a bi-partisan bill that would have ensured that the terrorists who brought death and destruction to our homeland on September 11, 2001 would be tried as war criminals in military courts, not as common criminals tried in civilian courts with full Constitutional protections on American soil. The Obama administration has not been truthful with the public about the risks associated with bringing these cases in federal court, where critical evidence will be excluded, classified intelligence will be made available to our enemies, foreign counterterrorism partners will be exposed and the "mastermind of 9/11" will be allowed to mock his victims just blocks from where they died.

This week letters were sent to President Barack Obama, Attorney General Eric Holder and Secretary of Defense Robert Gates questioning the wisdom of bringing these terrorists onto US soil to try them in civilian courts for their grievous crimes against this great country, including the murder of 343 New York City firefighters.



93 of them were my friends.



They were all my brothers.



I cannot stand by and let this happen without a fight.

It's a betrayal of all friends and family members who lost loved ones on 9/11...to bring the terrorists on to U.S. soil to be tried in civilian courts. It's also a betrayal of the CIA and Bush administration who worked tirelessly to keep us safe after 9/11. The CIA used waterboarding...so, what's your point? That's not torture for people who committed those heinous acts. Torture is when an Islamic extremist cuts a person's head off with a knife while they're still alive. I'm so sick of the political correctness that is ruining our country. I love the Muslim people, just as I love all people...I know they are not all extremists. But, for cryin' out loud...you call a spade a spade, and you call a terrorist a terrorist.

All we need to celebrate Christmas is joy in our hearts, our loved ones around us and the courage to truly place ourselves in God's hands.
Christmas is our celebration of the birth of the Son of God, the greatest gift ever given. He didn't enter our world as a king but as the child of a carpenter and his young wife. He wasn't born in luxury but in a humble stable. His birth was attended not by the elite of that time's society but by shepherds and the poor. His coming was not heralded by human voices but by the voices of angels and the light of a great star.
The people who were waiting for Him failed to recognise Him because instead of the great military leader who would drive the Romans out of Judea and slay the enemies of the Jews a gentle boy grew into a gentle teacher. His message was/is not one of vengence but of love and redemption.
If we lose sight of His message we will continue to lose to the evils that have slithered into our society as silently as the most poisonous of vipers. It is our charge to bring Christ back into not only CHRISTMAS but into our everyday lives.
NO person or group [in this country] has the right to prevent our freedom of religion nor to limit our free expression thereof.
We have permitted a tiny minority to remove the open symbols of the miracle of Jesus' birth, the Creche`, the carrols even the two words.............."MERRY CHRISTMAS".
We have allowed 'Political Correctness' to be the driving source of opinion rather than acknowledging that some ideas are bad, some behavior is bad and there are some BAD people out there. It is ABSOLUTELY OK to make JUDGEMENTS reguarding things, people, activities that are opposed to the way we've been raised.
We need to reassert our joy in the meaning of Christmas and our celebration of the birth of The Christ.
If others don't like it....go ahead SUE me.....I will JOYFULLY fight you all the way to the Supreme Court.
