White House stumbles into latest scandal by dropping bevy of 'If-Bombs'

　

Obama says "if",.... yet IRS admits wrongdoing...

　

Between the Benghazi cover-up Congressional hearings; the latest accusations that the Obama Administration spied on the Associated Press; and the ever growing IRS apology scandal, could things get worse for the presidency of Barack Obama? The linking of two separate but related news stories say yes.

The Weekly Standard is reporting on May 13, 2013, that White House Press Secretary Jay Carney already knew three weeks ago (April 22, 2013) of the Inspector General's investigation of the Internal Revenue Service admitting to targeting and harassing various conservative organizations applying for the much coveted 501(c)(4) tax exempt status.

To make matters worse, Barack Obama stated in a press conference on May 12, 2013, that he was made aware of the growing IRS scandal and subsequent apology just mere days ago (May 10, 2013), as reported by CBS News on May 13, 2013.

Carney Knew It...

As cited in the source article from The Weekly Standard, Zeke Miller of Time magazine tweeted back and forth with the White House Spokesman.

As Miller had on his Twitter feed:

Carney: "The WH counsel’s office was alerted the week of April 22 of this year" re IRS IG report

In a separate tweet, the following was posted:

Obama Blew It...

Yet during his Q and A with the press, Obama admitted he never knew of the IRS apology to various TEA Party and conservative groups until mere days ago, weeks after his own press secretary, Inspector General's office and the IRS were aware of it.

Even in his begrudging admittance of the IRS mea culpa to conservatives, Obama still refused to come to grips that his own IRS admitted to wrongdoing.

As the Chief Executive stated:

This is pretty straightforward, if in fact IRS personnel engaged in the kind of practices that have been reported on and were intentionally targeting conservative groups, then that's outrageous and there's no place for it.

Obama Continues To Drop More If-Bombs...

Obviously oblivious that the IRS is part of the Department of the Treasury, thusly part of his administration, the former United States Senator fails to understand who and what he happens to be responsible for:

The IRS as an independent agency requires absolute integrity and people have to have confidence that they're... applying the laws in a non-partisan way.

If you've got the IRS operating in anything less than a neutral and non-partisan way then that is outrageous ... People have to be held accountable and it's got to be fixed.
