80 REPUBLICANS SIGN ON
TO SAME SEX MARRIAGE
WASHINGTON — Rep. Richard Hanna, R-Oneida County, is among 80 prominent Republicans who have signed onto a legal brief with the Supreme Court supporting gay marriage, according to spokeswoman Renee Gamela.
The signatures are being submitted this week as part of a friend-of-the-court brief backing a lawsuit that challenges California’s Proposition 8, which bans same-sex marriage, according to the American Foundation for Equal Rights (AFER). AFER is a Los Angeles-based group founded to oppose Proposition 8, which passed in November 2008.
The participation of Hanna and other Republicans in the lawsuit was first reported Tuesday by the New York Times. Hanna was unavailable for comment on Tuesday.
Manny Rivera, a spokesman for AFER, said additional Republican signatures are being gathered before Thursday’s court deadline for filing briefs.
Oral arguments are scheduled for March 26.
Republicans backing the Supreme Court petition include Ted Olson, U.S. solicitor general under President George W. Bush; Jon Huntsman, former governor of Utah and a former GOP presidential candidate; and Christine Todd Whitman, former governor of New Jersey. Whitman and Huntsman are among six former Republican governors who have signed the brief.
Other Republicans on the list include several dozen former officials of various Republican presidential administrations, advisers to 2012 GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney, and GOP political consultants.
Hanna and Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen of Florida are the only current members of the House or Senate who have signed the brief.
Hanna, a second-term House member whose largely rural congressional district is anchored by Utica and Binghamton, was endorsed by the Log Cabin Republicans, a gay rights group, in his 2010 and 2012 campaigns.
AFER said that one of its board members, Ken Mehlman, personally secured many of the signatures.
Mehlman is a former chairman of the Republican National Committee who also chaired President George W. Bush’s 2004 re-election campaign.
“Ronald Reagan, our great conservative president, used to say real change occurs around the kitchen table,’’ Mehlman said in an email he sent to Politico. “This brief is reflective of real change occurring all across our country as families sit around kitchen tables, think about the value of family to their own lives and recognize these benefits should be available to all Americans.”

The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) filed a brief with the U.S. Supreme Court Friday arguing that a federal law defining marriage as a union between one man and one woman is unconstitutional because it discriminates against homosexuals.
The DOJ is seeking to strike down the law that defines marriage for all federal purposes.
The department argues in the brief that the law is unconstitutional under “heightened constitutional scrutiny.” In other words, the DOJ is asserting that sexual orientation should be treated as a suspect classification, like race or sex. The usual test for laws not involving suspect classifications is the “rational basis” test, which is a much lower threshold for laws to meet. Marriage laws have uniformly been tested under a “rational basis” review in the past.
The Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), signed by President Clinton in 1996, also protects the right of any state not to recognize same-sex marriages performed elsewhere. That particular provision is not being challenged. The court will hear two cases — one challenging DOMA and the other challenging California’s marriage amendment — in March.
The DOJ filed its brief in the DOMA case, United States v. Windsor. The suit involves a New York woman required to pay federal inheritance taxes on property her late partner left her. Although their Canadian marriage is recognized in New York, it is not recognized under DOMA.
Equating homosexuality to race in terms of constitutional protection would have major implications for state and federal laws on the family.
“If the Supreme Court finds that homosexuality is entitled to ‘heightened constitutional scrutiny,’ it could mean bad news for all marriage or family laws that define or promote one man, one woman marriage, or that support the notion that children are entitled to a mom and a dad,” said CitizenLink Judicial Analyst Bruce Hausknecht.
If DOMA is struck down because the Court equates homosexuality to race and gender, it would also, down the road, cause legal issues for churches, faith-based organizations and believers across the country.
“People and organizations from faith traditions who support the biblical standards behind marriage would be viewed in the law the same as race bigots, no better than the segregationists in the Jim Crow South who built separate water fountains for whites and blacks,” Hausknecht said. “If that indeed happens, the legal consequences for the American church will be severe, and it will be with the blessing of the Supreme Court.”
The court has already made it clear in past cases that the federal definition is constitutional, said Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) Senior Counsel Austin Nimocks.
“The wisest course is for the Supreme Court to resist demands to prematurely end the national debate over the future of marriage,” he explained. “The court should respect the freedom of both Congress and citizens to affirm a bedrock social institution that diverse cultures and faiths have honored throughout the history of Western Civilization.”
Take Action: Ask Your U.S. Senators to Protect Marriage
Please ask both of your U.S. senators to oppose any repeal of DOMA.
A prominent member of Chicago’s homosexual community claims Barack Obama’s participation in the “gay” bar and bathhouse scene was so well known that many who were aware of his lifestyle were shocked when he ran for president and finally won the White House.
“It was preposterous to the people I knew then to think Obama was going to keep his gay life secret,” said Kevin DuJan, who was a gossip columnist in Chicago for various blogs when Obama was living in the city as a community organizer and later a state senator.
“Nobody who knew Obama in the gay bar scene thought he could possibly be president,” said DuJan.
DuJan, founder and editor of the Hillary Clinton-supporting website HillBuzz.org, told WND he has first-hand information from two different sources that “Obama was personally involved in the gay bar scene.”
“If you just hang out at these bars, the older guys who have been frequenting these gay bars for 25 years will tell you these stories,” DuJan said. “Obama used to go to the gay bars during the week, most often on Wednesday, and they said he was very much into older white guys.”
Obama, DuJan said, is “not heterosexual and he’s not bisexual. He’s homosexual.”
Investigative journalist Wayne Madsen, who worked with the National Security Agency from 1984 to 1988 as a Navy intelligence analyst, confirmed DuJan’s claims.
“It is common knowledge in the Chicago gay community that Obama actively visited the gay bars and bathhouses in Chicago while he was an Illinois state senator,” Madsen told WND.
WND also spoke with a member of the East Bank Club in Chicago, who confirmed Obama was a member there and was known to be a homosexual. The upscale fitness club, which has some 10,000 members, is not a “gay” facility. But it’s one of a number of places identified by the Chicago homosexual community as a “gay gym,” where homosexuals meet and engage in sexual activity.
In April, WND reported a federal judge dismissed a libel case against Larry Sinclair, a homosexual who claimed Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign had paid to rig a polygraph test regarding Sinclair’s sensational charge that he had sex and used cocaine twice with Obama while Obama was an Illinois state senator. Sinclair tells his story in “Barack Obama & Larry Sinclair: Cocaine, Sex, Lies & Murder.”
WND also reported former radical activist John Drew has said that when he met Obama when Obama was a student at Occidental College, he thought Obama and his then-Pakistani roommate were “gay” lovers.
In addition, rumors have swirled around Obama’s relationship with his personal aide and former “body man,” Reggie Love, who resurfaced on the eve of the Republican National Convention to .... Love resigned from the White House in November 2011 after compromising photographs of him as a college student received wide circulation.
WND also has documented in two separate articles, here and here, that Obama wore a gold band on his wedding ring finger from the time he attended Occidental College through his student days at Harvard Law School.
DuJan said that during Obama’s first presidential campaign, “there was fear in the gay community” about talking openly about Obama being homosexual, particularly after the murder in December 2007 of Donald Young, the openly gay choir director at Jeremiah Wright’s Trinity United Church of Christ, who was known to be a close friend of Obama.
“People did not want to talk openly about Obama being gay,” he said.
“Then, when we saw how Larry Sinclair was demonized, anybody who would expose Obama worried they would be silenced if they dared to speak the truth about Obama’s gay life,” DuJan said.
DuJan said he has been told “Obama’s secrets would have to come out just like John Edwards’ secrets came out.”
He said Obama stopped going to gay bars and bathhouses in Chicago when he began running for the U.S. Senate in 2004.
“Back then, Obama could walk around Chicago and people generally wouldn’t recognize him, even though he was a state senator in the Illinois assembly at the time,” DuJan said.
DuJan insisted that while he’s a supporter of Hillary Clinton, he holds no personal animus toward Obama. He said he campaigned for Clinton in 2008 “because I had waited for years for her to be able to run.”
“I opposed Obama not because I’m a racist, or that I hate Obama, I just knew the type of person Obama associated with in Chicago,” he said.
He pointed to Obama’s association with convicted Chicago real estate magnate Tony Rezko, Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan and Rev. Wright.
“Obama was a dirty politician that the media never wanted to vet – that’s what concerned me about Obama,” Du Jan said.
DuJan spoke further of his claims about Obama in an interview Monday night on Andrea Shea King’s show on BlogTalkRadio.com, which included questions from WND during the last half of the show.
Madsen published an article in his Wayne Madsen Report in May 2010 claiming Obama and Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel were members of the same bathhouse in Chicago.
“President Obama and his chief of staff Rahm Emanuel are lifetime members of the same gay bathhouse in uptown Chicago, according to informed sources in Chicago’s gay community, as well as veteran political sources in the city,” Madsen wrote.
He said the bathhouse, “Man’s Country,” catered “to older men,” noting “it has been in business for some 30 years and is known as one of uptown Chicago’s ‘grand old bathhouses.’”
Madsen wrote his 2010 report after traveling to Chicago to interview bartenders and customers at several “gay” bars.
DuJan gave WND a list of “gay” bars in Chicago where older customers hang out and tell stories about how Obama, prior to 2004, frequented visited to pick up men for sex, including several on Halstead Street, widely known as an “uber-gay Chicago street.
Writing in HillBuzz.org Tuesday, DuJan said rooms at Man’s Country bathhouse are still referred to as the “presidential suite,” or the “Oral Office,” because “the current President used to haunt the place when he was a just another Illinois state senator that no one had ever heard of or cared about.”
DuJan said he believes that, someday, “all of this is going to be as public knowledge as JFK’s affair with Marilyn Monroe and the other women he cavorted with while married to Jackie.”
“Someday,” he said, “in the next 10-20 years, everyone will know all about Man’s Country, and the place will no doubt get a plaque of sometime commemorating that place as a gay hangout for the future leader of the free world.”
The new evidence in support of previous claims that Obama is homosexual is gleaned from a February 18 Weekly Standard report about President Obama's return from a "solo vacation." According to the report:
February 27, 2013
“In politics, nothing happens by accident. If it happens, you can bet it was planned that way.” —Franklin D. Roosevelt
As the Supreme Court conveniently looks at the issue of homosexual marriage, the Obama administration is asking the Supreme Court to strike down the federal law defining marriage as a union between only a man and a woman.
The specific issue the Supreme Court will be deciding on is the Defense of Marriage Act, passed in 1996 to protect marriage as between a man and a woman. Radical homosexuals are attempting to create an unlawful stir because part of the law bars them from receiving federal benefits that heterosexual married couples receive, even in states where same sex marriage is considered “legal.”
Apparently these pretended justices have a severe hearing problem. Thirty-one states have already voted down homosexual marriage in agreement with the Laws of God and our Republic and a little common sense, while nine states and Washington, D.C. have deceived themselves into thinking that THEY HAVE defied God and the people and unlawfully passed homosexual marriage.
Haven’t they learned from Canada, who is suffering dire consequences after illegally passing homosexual marriage?
The United States Supreme Court is also reviewing a challenge to California’s ban on homosexual marriage. 7 million California voters made their voice heard that they were in agreement with the laws of Nature and Nature’s God, banning homosexual marriage. Radical homosexual activists got involved and circumvented the people, bringing the case before a radical homosexual judge, Vaughn Walker, who appealed Prop 8. Walker is no longer on the bench. In any case, the court was right where they wanted it.
The stage has been set, and just in time. Before the elections, Obama came out in support of homosexual marriage. Of course, he first had to repeal DADT and place 225 homosexuals in key positions…such as the Supreme Court… before he made his announcement.
Elena Kagan is the former dean of students at Harvard. Contrary to Harvard’s founding mottos, “For Christ and the Church” and “For the glory of Christ,” Kagan is known for “Queerifying Harvard.”
During her tenure, she did the following:
Kagan hired former ACLU lawyer William Rubenstein to teach “queer” legal theory, in which he taught courses on taking up new identities such as bisexuality, transgender f**k, involving polygamy, sadomasochism, and the sexuality of minors.
Kagan also hired other radicals (a lesbian and a transsexual) to teach transgender law courses, as well as Cass Sunstein who has written in support of polygamy and free-for-all marriage relationships.
Kagan viciously attacked our military in opposition to “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” even banning military recruiters from coming on campus. Kagan’s attempt to ban the recruiters was unsuccessful, and even after losing her legal campaign, she encouraged students to continue protesting them.
Kagan’s radical activism on campus was so toxic that there was even a campaign to make the entire university trans-inclusive, using Harvard’s “gender identity” non-discrimination policy to spew gender confusion among students on campus.
Elena Kagan has never judged a case a day in her life, yet Obama, unqualified for office himself, has seen fit to “qualify” her on the Supreme Court bench…just in time for the Court to review homosexual marriage.
Obama’s Solicitor General Donald Verrilli argued that the DOMA is unconstitutional because it violates "the fundamental guarantee of equal protection." The phrase “equal protection” comes from the Fourteenth Amendment. Verrili conveniently omitted that equal protection is “of the laws.”
The question is, whose law? The laws of our republic, which are derived from God.As Thaddeus Stevens said in his debate on the floor over the 14th Amendment, “no distinction would be tolerated in this purified republic but what arose from merit and conduct.”
William Blackstone, author of Commentaries on the Laws of England (whom our founders studied when establishing America), stated, “No enactment of man can be considered law unless it conforms to the law of God.”
America needs to come to terms and understand that no president, no administration, no Supreme Court, has the right to break God’s law.

The expression “boys will be boys” is no longer true at dozens of America’s universities who are offering sex change operations with paid tuition fees. Instead, “boys will be girls” more accurately portrays the thinking behind the new health coverage policies at many of America’s elite colleges, which, according to the host of the nationally syndicated radio show “Line of Fire,” reflect the agenda pushed by the Obama administration.
And President Obama has been helping spread that idea.
“Without a doubt, the president and his administration have been real game changers, not so much in changing public opinion from scratch, but rather in hastening the progress of LGBT activism,” said Brown.
“What has surprised me is to see how some religious leaders are now caving in because of the president’s public stands. Before Mr. Obama was elected, I warned my radio listeners that he would be the most radically pro-gay president in our nation’s history, and in that respect, he has not disappointed us.”
Brown cited the recent news from Yale, founded in 1701 as a Bible college to instruct colonists in morality and the Christian faith, that it may be adding sex-change operations to the student health plan.
Already, some three dozen colleges and universities agree to pay for student sex-change procedures as part of their health benefits plans.
“Almost overnight, perception has changed about ‘transgender’ issues, and without any new scientific or psychological [research] to justify that change in perception, more and more of the public now simply believes that if a little boy (or a grown man) claims to be one gender outside and another gender inside, then that’s who they really are, in which case sex-change is like any other surgery,” Brown told WND.
“The fact that most American colleges and universities are quite liberal means that they would more readily embrace this point of view,” he said.
Many of the arguments for transgenderism come from the American Medical Association, which has coined “gender identity disorder” as a “serious medical condition” that manifests as a continual discomfort with one’s primary and secondary biological sex characteristics.
Its claim is that individuals could experience severe depression and have suicidal tendencies if not treated.
Yale officials already offer the benefit of sex-change procedures to faculty and staff, university spokeswoman Karen Peart told Fox News.
She explained, “Cost would vary depending on treatment.”
Estimates are it could be $25,000 or more.
It might be too early to tell how much the extra “service” would escalate student expenses, but could the surgeries add to the already high cost of education at Yale? Already, the university says that a single student living off campus during the 2012-2013 academic year can expect to pay a “reasonable, albeit modest” $61,394 for tuition, fees, room and board, and the Yale Health hospitalization fee.
It claims that the $41,225 tuition fee includes health-care services under Yale Health, but how much of the fee would go into covering-sex change operations is yet to be seen.
According to the Yale Daily News, Yale University Health Services Director Dr. Paul Genecin insists that students have shown “increasing interest” in the school covering sex-change surgery but concedes that he has received only a “small number of requests.”
Other demands also are arising.
“It’s among a handful of health-care issues that are of concern to students right now; another would be improving access to mental health and counseling services,” Gabriel Murchison, a Resource Alliance for Gender Equality member at Yale, told FoxNews.com.
Does this increased need for treatment of emotional or psychological problems have anything to do with the mainstreaming of LGBT teachings in education?
“It has to be so,” responded Brown, founder and president of the Fire School of Ministry. “The more that kids are raised without a mom or dad, the more they are told that any arrangement that is loving works, the more that marriage is genderless, the fewer role models they have and the more negative media influence they have, coupled with the propaganda put forth in schools (along with Gay Straight Alliances and the like) – when you couple all this with the fact that a young person’s sexual development can be confusing at times, it is only natural that these problems would be on the increase.”
The Transgender Law and Policy Institute announced last month that Brown University became the 36th university to offer sex changes to students.
Brown points out that more and more education programs at colleges and universities are seeking to normalize homosexual and transsexual behavior. He says this has greatly affected the way society defines sexuality and morality, which has resulted in an outright war against those holding to Christian principles.
“Since our next generation of leaders (or, with the Internet boom, the current generation of leaders in many cases) is being educated at our major universities, where gay positive is the norm and moral (and biblical) conservatism is mocked, the new ‘tolerance’ is outright hostile to biblical values,” Brown contends.
And when asked which universities he considers to be most aggressively pushing the LGBT agenda through their academic programs and campus politics, Brown didn’t know where to start.
“There are too many to mention!” Brown exclaimed. “A whole book was written by gay activist Shane Windmeyer for the The Advocate, listing the most gay-friendly campuses in America, and they included quite a few of the biggest and best. Some even had funding in their programs to recruit LGBT students. I have a whole chapter on this in my book, “A Queer Thing Happened to America.”
Windmeyer says campuses promoting sexual alternatives are to be commended.
“Every student deserves to feel safe on campus, and all of these colleges are committed to creating a more LGBT-friendly campus,” Windmeyer said.
Some notable schools making Windmeyer’s 2012 Campus Pride “Top 25 LGBT-friendly Colleges and Universities List” are Stanford, UCLA, Cornell, University of Chicago, Penn State, UC Berkeley, Ohio State, Washington, Michigan and Oregon.
Do the shocking statistics about immorality on American campuses nationwide present the most compelling cases out there that would alert parents who are planning on sending their kids to college?
“Not so much the stats (which include all kinds of sexual immorality – gay and straight – as well as lots of drugs and drinking), but the anecdotes, where kids really ‘come out’ and begin to identify themselves in every imaginable way, like a queer-bisexual-transdyke – in other words, ‘normal’ doesn’t exist anymore,” Brown contended.
Public K-12 schools also are see by Brown as the breeding ground for the sexual libertinism witnessed on college campuses from coast to coast.
“Public schools that have policies where a boy who identifies as a girl uses the girl’s bathroom, or that don’t make gender distinctions and refer to the students as ‘friends’ rather than boys and girls, or that have GSAs where kids can come out as gay among their peers and faculty advisers without parents knowing, or first-graders having gay books like “King and King” read to them, or a gay positive sex-ed programs – all this and more paves the way for the ultra-liberal atmosphere on the campuses,” Brown explained.
After-college life is being hit, too, with one quarter of Fortune 100 companies covering sex changes with insurance, up from only 1 percent less than a decade ago.
In an opinion piece in the Wall Street Journal former president Bill Clinton has come out of the closet in support of homosexual marriage. In 1996, he signed the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA). Why the change? He says that 1996 “was a very different time.”
This tells me that Clinton governed in terms of opinion polls. In 1996, opinion was against homosexual marriage, therefore, he was against it. In 2013, opinion polls show a different view. There’s nothing startling in this type of moral shift. Politicians do it all the time.
With 17 years of pro-homosexual propaganda hitting us every day, I’m not surprised that opinions have shifted. Let me ask the poll question, and I bet opinion would shift back hard the other way. Remember, low-information and no-information voters are now in the majority.
But let’s get back to Clinton and the real reason for his shift.
First, Hillary is setting her sites on a 2016 presidential run. This means she’s lining up all the special interest groups ahead of time. Homosexuals, while they make up no more than three percent of the population, have great influence and deep pockets.
Bill can now speak in support of her candidacy without having to answer questions about signing DOMA.
Second, Clinton’s support of homosexual marriage removes the stigma of his sordid sexual affairs. How can he be against consensual homosexual sex when he and his liberal friends and media sycophants kept saying that his sexual exploits were only about sex and it was consensual? Sex is no big deal, no matter who’s doing it to whom.
The Lewinsky scandal didn’t emerge until 1998, two years after Clinton signed DOMA. Once he got caught in the Lewinsky tryst, he was damaged goods. Supporting homosexual marriage makes his extra-marital sexual encounter just another sexual encounter.
If homosexual marriage is now accepted when in 1996 it wasn’t, then surely a healthy male with a sexual appetite like Clinton’s can’t be denied similar sexual freedom. Clinton’s sexual rendezvous with Monica Lewinsky was a big deal 17 years ago, but the moral goal posts have been moved since then. With homosexual marriage now accepted, who’s going to judge a president who only did what came naturally?
Third, Clinton helped America lose its moral compass. He now has to justify it. Instead of repenting, he’s succumbed to the deviancy. Again, this is an old story that makes literature what it is today.
The late New York Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan described this phenomenon in a 1993 paper as “Defining Deviancy Down,” defined by Suzanne Fields as “lowering the bar for what was once considered deviant behavior, giving a pass to things society once scorned.” Notice the date.
Moynihan started from Emile Durkheim’s proposition that there is a limit to the amount of deviant behavior any community can
“‘afford to recognize’ and that, accordingly, we have been re-defining deviancy so as to exempt much conduct previously stigmatized, and also quietly raising the ‘normal’ level in categories where behavior is now abnormal by any earlier standard. This redefining has evoked fierce resistance from defenders of ‘old’ standards, and accounts for much of the present ‘cultural war. . . .’”
The long-term effects of lowering the moral bar are not immediately seen or understood. But it doesn’t take a degree in psychology or social work to see the devastating consequences of moral surrender to the bleating sheep of moral discontent.
Ascent to homosexuality is not new. Some of the great civilizations of the world tolerated, even extolled the virtues of homosexuality. As any 8th-grade history student knows, the remnants of their civilizations are little more than tourist attractions today.
America is headed in the same direction.
If our legislators, conservative Christians included, wanted to raise the ire of GOD on PURPOSE, they couldn't be doing a better job than they are now.
First they dismantle the US CONSTITUTION now they're after our GOD and religion.
I'm not going to be surprised if the end of this world comes eons sooner than the prophesies say it will.

The National Institutes of Health awarded a Boston hospital more than $1.5 million to figure out why nearly three-quarters of lesbians are overweight — calling the disparities a significant public health issue.
“It is now well-established that women of minority sexual orientation are disproportionately affected by the obesity epidemic, with nearly three-quarters of adult lesbians overweight or obese, compared to half of heterosexual women,” according to a description of the grant.
The taxpayer money was awarded to Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston to study the relationship between sexual orientation and obesity. The project is overseen by S. Bryn Austin.
The grant was awarded through the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development. The hospital received a 2011 grant worth $778,622 and a 2012 grant worth $778,622.
According to the NIH grant, the project’s end date is in 2016.
The U.S. State Department’s policy on dealing with transgendered people will allow Americans who are anatomically male but identify themselves as female to secure U.S. passports that match their gender “identity” rather than their anatomy.
The policy also allows records for births abroad to be changed to reflect the “new” gender of an individual.
“The U.S. Department of State is pleased to use the occasion of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Pride Month to announce its new policy guidelines regarding gender change in passports and Consular Reports of Birth Abroad,” the June 9, 2010 media note states on State’s website states.
“Beginning June 10, when a passport applicant presents a certification from an attending medical physician that the applicant has undergone appropriate clinical treatment for gender transition, the passport will reflect the new gender,” the note states. “The guidelines include detailed information about what information the certification must include.”
“It is also possible to obtain a limited-validity passport if the physician’s statement shows the applicant is in the process of gender transition,” the note states. “No additional medical records are required.”

Urgent prayer alert: marriage at risk at Supreme CourtMarch 13, 2013
The Supreme Court will soon decide whether God-ordained marriage will continue to be the standard in America. The stakes for our nation's moral understanding of sexuality, marriage and family could not be higher.
