While on HSA subject: for those who have one (and of course have a high deductable): contribution maximum has remained for 2013... but have you noticed that the tax exempt interest has dramatically been reduced last year, leaving a policy owner wondering if there are any benefits left to self-insurance, other than the schackles imposed by the government on "private property" i.e. government dictated distributions for medical care. I'd like to hear your comments.

FYI....Dr Benjamin Carson was raised by a single mother who didn't learn to read until she was an adult. She was married at 13, has two sons and Benjamin is the youngest. He was a poor student in a primarily white school in the 1960's. His teachers would praise him for his failing grades, acknowledging his obviously "inferior intellect".

 

At one point his mother made the boys turn off the TV and required them to read 2 books per week and give her a report on them. Needless to say, Benjamin started learning and his grades steadily improved. He competed in a school Spelling Bee and won......beating the white boy he was competing with. One of the teachers stood up and berated the white children for allowing themselves to be beaten by "THIS BOY"! The mom decided to move to a neighborhood & school which was primarily Black.

 

Benjamin Carson continued to be a wonderful student and was awarded a scholarship to Yale and attended Medical School at the University of Michigan. He went to Johns Hopkins for his residency. At age 33, he was the youngest person to serve as Medical Director at Johns Hopkins.

 

He is the first Pediatric Neuro Surgeon to separate twin boys who were cojoined at the head and have them both survive.

 

THIS man has lived the "American Dream" and it a striking opposite to the man sitting two seats away to his right.

Dr Carson believes in this country and the possibilities available to EVERYONE.....

 

What an amazing contrast in character.

Dr. Benjamin Carson is one of the few men who I've seen make Obama's JAW drop!

He as much as told Obama, seated near, him during this "very public" morning meeting that

Obamacare sucks! And then he went ahead and gave a very logical and common sense plan

for a new and better and less expensive one than Obamacare. I LOVED watching Obama squirm in his seat. You can bet that Dr. Carson will be having some visits from the FBI, Secret Service, ATF, CIA, FEMA, IRS, EPA, MDA  and others shortly, but not necessarily in that order.

Rush Limbaugh points out the CBO report that Obamacare is going to cost 11 million Americans their employer' s healthcare.

I heard that a couple days ago. I thought the media would be ALL OVER that but they weren't . . . . . and obviously the liberal progressive union backed democrat machine lemmings don't care either! But what about ME? I have one of those plans. I don't want my own health care plan changed or taken away from me. I gave up lots of raises and fringe benefits to bargain for a good health care plan when I was working and an employee. Am I to sit idly by as Obama and his CZARS take all that away from me, strip me of my right to organize and plan my own health care strategy with my own selected physician??? . . . . . I guess so.

Congress passes legislation behind closed doors. Congress passes legislation telling us we have to pass the bill before we tell you what's in it. Congress makes legislation so complex to read with annotations and back references that the average American has no way of telling what's actually IN legislation without a CBO intern to translate it for us. Congress LIES about what's in legislation and ALWAYS ALWAYS puts some pork in EACH and EVERY bill to sweeten it up for some favorite legislators pet project. THIS WE CALL A GOVERNMENT "of the people, for the people, by the people?
